Booked this site as a stopover heading south and not many sites open for caravans. We arrived at 1:30 and they are closed between 1 and 4pm as a lot of places are in France. However one of their staff stopping us while we were walking towards the river and checked if we needed to check in and kindly opened up for us. We had a choice of pitches because it was quiet and after setting up we took a lovely walk into Sully. A few bars and restaurants open, town has a nice feel and the setting right on the Loire river is perfect. Shower and toilet block small but some are heated which is great in the winter. Overall we were really happy with this place.
Typical Flower site, busy in pre-season, allocated a pitch. Mixture of touring pitches and Cabins. Some cabin occupants, meeting up at weekend, a bit loud into night. Facilities good, plenty of sun/shade. Power & water pitchside, but not WiFi. Excellent pool for 2 elderly, weak swimmers. Pleasant walk into interesting town and chateau along riverbank and over disused railway bridge. Rather a lot of tiny flies while we were there (June).
Don’t let my title put you off. We were here for the last week of April, so the season hasn’t really kicked off in earnest yet. The place has some great facilities and there’s certainly enough to keep the kids entertained. So why one Dutch …
We only stayed one night, so based on what we saw the camping looks alright, the evening that we were there all the toiletpaper went out, and there were older kids that were making noise atleast past 11 pm. But the sites are okay, they were nog big but big enough, the staff was helpfull.
Warm helpful and friendly staff and the quiet ambience of the location of the site by the Loire have brought us back for several years either en route from the south or this year as a 9 night stay. Site facilities are excellent..we enjoyed …
Nice little camping, nice people and nice place for tent or camper:caravan. The area is so beautiful. Absolute recommended! ||Order bread for breakfast and enjoy your staying.||Places are big enough and privacy is oké
Certainly would not want to stay here any longer than one night. Campsite is very tired and in desperate need of massive refurbishment. Tight access into site once through the barrier. Pitches look pretty rough and its not even High Season yet.
The campsite has a huge range of facilities in it such as several play parks and a minigolf. There were a few toilet blocks which was good to see, as it meant that we were quite close to one of them.
Unfortunately nearly everything in the site was pretty dated or unclean. In particular the pool had a film around the edge of it and the toilet/shower block smelled extremely damp.
As others have mentioned, the music continued on quite late - this didnt bother us, but it did continue past 11pm, which their own rules said was the 'quiet time'.
Overall, we were happy with our pitch and location considering the price
